CUZZZIIESSSS!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Soo my cuzzies Lindy and Jeff came to visit!
Four days of non-stop laughter and Celeste time. It
was so great. We tried to motivate Celeste to crawl by giving her live examples, only to discover that Jeff doesnt really know how to crawl even though he is 14 (he seems to do some sideways swagger like a train of elephants instead). haha. Up until now, she's been able to get up on all fours and bounce her legs up and down, or get into a yoga tee-pee like position and just move her bum to and fro, but no crawling action yet.
Two highlights of the visit were the babyfood-making contest and the present we made Mark and Ashley. For the babyfood-making contest, we each bought fruits and veggies of our choice to steam, blend, and serve as our very own babyfood creations. Some of them included Jeff's Great Green Goo (corn + green beans), and my Melum (melon + Plum). With anticipation we waited as Celeste carefully tasted each one...we never would have predicted the looks of absolute disgust that came across her face, not to mention a few flavors so bad that they gave her the shivers! hahaha it was hil
arious. I ended up losing the competition (my "Caulitoe-oat delight" aka Cauliflower + oatmeal + tomatoe gave her the shivers) so I was forced to eat a spoonful of store-bought Oatmeal-Prune babyfood. it was pretty disgusting. The next day we fed Tey some more bites of the food in an attempt to capture her looks of digust on camera for Mark and Ashley's gift. We made them home-made burp cloths for their daughter, with pictures of us on them as though we're being spit up on. On the cloths, Jeff is opening his mouth wide, Lindy is plugging her nose, I'm duck-n-covering, Julie is wiping spitup off her shoulder, and Mark is giving a look of endearment because he will love anything his daughter does, even spitup. haha. After laboring for hours with the iron, we got the gift together and Ashley and Mark loved it. Not to toot my own horn, but they are pretty funny. The intention is comic relief for Ashley so when she is wiping spitup off her face in the middle of the night she can look at the cloth and start laughing. ahhh. By the end of the weekend, Jeff and
Lindy were very good at changing diapers and dressing Celeste. In fact, Lindy even got mad at me for not waking her up to change Tey's first dirty diaper of the day. thanks for the visit CUZZZIIESSS!
